Chris Bakken
teaches creative writing at Allegheny College. On Wednesday, April 9th at 8:00 PM he will be at the Russell Wright Alumni House reading from his new memoir/creative nonfiction book about food writing and Greece entitled,

Honey, Olives, Octopus: Adventures at the Greek Table

He graduated from Columbia University with an M.F.A., and from University of Houston with a Ph.D. in literature and creative writing. He was a Fulbright Scholar in American Studies at the University of Bucharest in 2008.

His work has appeared in Boulevard, Feta Review, Georgia Review, Gettysburg Review, Gulf Coast, Lyric, Michigan Quarterly Review, Mid-American Review, Paris Review, Parnassus, Raritan, Southwest Review, and Western Humanities Review. His first collection, After Greece(2001), was published by Truman State University Press after he won the T. S. Eliot Prize.
